I developed an eating disorder at the age of 13 due to severe childhood abuse. Violence at home and at school made me feel like I had to make myself perfect to please others. I became obsessed with being as thin as possible and started starving myself. When I eventually decided to start eating again, my weight increased very quickly, which in turn led to vomiting. Since then, I have struggled with bulimia.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to my eating disorder, I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and have been hospitalised a few times as a result. I alternate between manic and depressive episodes. During manic episodes, I have tremendous energy and engage in reckless behaviour, followed by periods of deep depression.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Right before I began MER Biofeedback therapy, I was in a depressive phase, could barely get out of bed, and my eating disorder was in full force. By the time I started therapy, I had been vomiting 3-5 times a day for a few months.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I felt like I was a slave to my addiction. All I did was get food and throw up. Although vomiting prevented me from gaining weight, it didn’t make me happy. Sometimes I could eat over 100 euros worth of food in a day and still feel hungry in the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I felt that this was not a life worth living. I decided to take back control of my life and finally be happy. <\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I started listening to educational podcasts and trying to become more aware of how my brain works. I looked for ways to support my health and tried acupuncture, massage, meditation, and other therapies. An acquaintance of mine had received help from biofeedback therapy, so I decided to try it myself.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There was a big change in me right after the first session! I remember the night after the MER Biofeedback therapy very well because I went home and danced for a long time! Dancing is my passion, but I hadn’t danced or listened to music in a very long time. I didn’t throw up that day, and I haven’t for several months after therapy.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I felt like a completely different person! In the past, I have managed not to vomit for short periods, but it has never lasted this long. Although there are still difficult days and setbacks, they are not as severe as they used to be.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My depression and eating disorders have subsided, and my social anxiety has also disappeared. Previously, I used to frantically panic about what to say to others, but now I have no limits to storytelling. People around me have also noticed the change and say that I am very positive. I feel confident again after many years!<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It’s as if my brain has been cleansed! Previous thoughts have been taken away, and new, positive thoughts can now take their place. Thanks to MER Biofeedback therapy, I’ve had the best summer of my life so far, and I’m excited about the future. I recommend MER Biofeedback therapy to everyone I meet.
