My daily anxiety vanished after the therapy

Before I went for MER Biofeedback therapy, I didn’t actually think I was a very anxious person. Looking back now, I understand that it was anxiety, because today I feel so much calmer and lighter.

I felt the biggest and most significant change in myself just a couple of days after the first therapy session—my mind had become quiet. It might sound crazy, but life with three children had turned into a constant whirlwind in my head.

I always had to remember various appointments, events, practices, doctor’s visits, and so on. At the same time, I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner or how to teach my child math and Estonian when they didn’t want to learn. Meanwhile, I was also thinking to myself when to clean or do laundry. Then I’d remember that I forgot to reply to my friend three days ago. And in the back of my mind, the thought hammered away: am I even a good enough mother?

And then suddenly – everything was silent.

It just was. And it was heavenly! My mind is still quiet. The daily anxious thoughts are gone. We had just been preparing for the school’s semester development review for homeschooling, filling out spreadsheets, which previously caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. This time, it was remarkably easier to handle and prepare. I could even sleep before the review; before, anxious thoughts would keep me from falling asleep.

By now, I’ve had therapy four times. My mind remains quiet, and additionally, I feel I am more emotionally balanced and calm. This has proven to be very necessary, as new layers have emerged within me during the therapy sessions, which I’ve had to reflect on and process the arising feelings. At the same time, these haven’t led me to despair, and I’ve been able to process all the necessary issues.

When we’ve had busy times at home with a lot of hustle and bustle, it hasn’t shaken me too much. My stress tolerance has significantly improved, and anxiety doesn’t bother me in the same way it used to.

My husband also went to therapy.

After the first session, he said he felt happier. I myself noticed that he was significantly less anxious. He was calmer and, at the same time, seemed to come out of his shell. Our relationship improved. Although he was rather skeptical about therapy, he really liked the therapist, and I never had to force him to go. He went on his own and with pleasure.

We also went to therapy with one of our children, and they really liked it there. They said the therapy felt relaxing. We noticed an improvement in their concentration. My good friend had a very powerful and positive experience with MER Biofeedback therapy. She described that thanks to the therapy, she experienced a euphoria she had never felt before.

I believe everyone should try MER Biofeedback therapy because there is so much to gain.

For me, it was very important that with MER Biofeedback therapy, you don’t have to talk, although you can. I didn’t have to recall or describe negative life events or experiences. At the same time, the therapist was so pleasant that we could communicate with each other completely stress-free.

I will definitely go back for MER Biofeedback therapy, both for myself and with the children.
