An aggressive ADHD child became a peaceful schoolboy
Marju, Mother of an 8-Year-Old Child
My son was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). He had major behaviour problems, showing signs of ADHD such as an inability to concentrate and difficulty understanding things. He didn’t want to study at all.
He seemed to be in a hurry all the time, constantly needing to move and unable to stay calm in one place. He was also quick to get irritated and had outbursts of anger over trivial things, struggling to calm down afterwards. He hit classmates and was aggressive, disobeying the teachers’ orders and receiving numerous reprimands. I kept getting calls from the school. They told me that my ADHD child would have to be placed in a smaller class because the teachers in the larger class couldn’t manage him. This spurred me into action, and I started looking for solutions. An acquaintance recommended MER Biofeedback therapy, having benefited from it himself.

Regarding irritability, outbursts of anger, and aggressiveness, there was a noticeable improvement after the first therapy session.
The teachers at the school also saw changes. My child seemed able to control his feelings better, remaining calm and not getting upset as usual. There were considerably fewer outbursts of anger and aggression. He was noticeably calmer, and the comments from school became fewer. The symptoms of ADHD had subsided. Before therapy, his behaviour scores were two and three. Now, after therapy, the grades are mostly fours and fives. I was surprised when, on the first day after therapy, my son came to hug me and sit on my lap. He hadn’t usually done that before.
After the third therapy session, there was a significant improvement in concentration and reduced impulsivity. We attended therapy together five times. Each time, his understanding and learning improved. He became better at planning his activities independently, could follow along in class, and no longer interrupted his conversations. He no longer wandered around the classroom like before. Additionally, he stopped forgetting necessary school items at home, which used to be a constant issue.
I highly recommend MER Biofeedback therapy to others who have problems with ADHD, impulsivity, concentration, and behaviour issues.
