I have struggled with overthinking and emotional stress my entire life. I have also experienced deep depression, but all of this has led me on a journey of self-development and MER Biofeedback® therapy. And this is just the beginning.
As a teenager, I dreamt of entrepreneurship and had a strong desire to contribute to the world’s development, which led me to study accounting and entrepreneurship at Tallinn University of Technology (TTÜ). From that moment, I worked in banking and was actively engaged in entrepreneurship. However, I always felt that something was missing. These activities did not fulfil me and deprived me of my joy and well-being.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with depression, which struck me like a bolt from the blue as I had never previously dealt with depression or mental health issues. In hindsight, I realise that the symptoms had been present earlier, I just hadn’t recognised them. I was trapped in negative thought patterns, constantly overthinking, and suffering from low self-esteem. My body was always in a state of stress, which significantly affected my mental and physical health.
I initially tried to treat myself with antidepressants, believing them to be the quickest and most effective solution. However, they did not produce the desired results and instead deepened my emotional numbness. I became indifferent to my surroundings and realised I needed a deeper change to become active and happy again. From that moment, I focused on self-development, searching for various ways to change my thought patterns and positively influence my life.
I approached this journey with an open mind, exploring and experimenting with different therapies such as holistic quartets, hypnotherapy, and transformational breathing. I have always been curious about how our minds and bodies function and how we can change our lives with the right thought patterns—and how easily we can destroy our lives if our thought patterns prevent us from living fully.
On my journey, I eventually discovered MER Biofeedback® therapy, which provided significant help.
MER Biofeedback® therapy has given me a better understanding of myself, reduced emotional stress and exhaustion, significantly changed my thought patterns, and provided inner peace. It has been one of the most important moments in my life, as I now understand how the body and mind are interconnected and how I can consciously influence my physical and mental state. After the first session, I was certain I wanted to learn MER Biofeedback® therapy to offer the same level of help to others.
What I appreciate about MER Biofeedback® therapy is that you don’t have to recall or relive past experiences and events. Thanks to the biofeedback device, it is easy to identify stress sources in our body. By balancing them, we give the body and mind more space for positive feelings and thoughts. When past traumas no longer affect us, we can move forward in life and enjoy what’s happening more.
My aim as a MER Biofeedback® therapist is to help people in reducing obsessive thoughts, negative emotions, emotional stress, and exhaustion. To help them face fears, lift moods, and encourage clients to make the desired changes to improve their quality of life.
My motto is: ‘Never give up, anything is possible!'”
