Ülle is a co-owner of Lifekeskus, as well as a trainer and therapist.

I have always been a committed, determined, and open-minded person. My colourful life experiences have led me to help people. Indeed, the best teacher is experience. By solving my own challenges, I am able to support others on their journey.

How did I come to biofeedback therapy?

I began my business career in 1987, building several companies from scratch. I fully dedicated myself to these ventures, often to the point of overworking. I remember that by January 2000, I was on the verge of collapse. I experienced emotional and mental exhaustion (burnout syndrome), which developed into an anxiety disorder. I also had panic attacks, including feelings of suffocation, unreality, and fear of losing control and going mad. I went to the emergency room, but to no avail. This led to depression, and I lost my joy for life and the will to do anything. I took antidepressants for a couple of days, but the anxiety worsened.

At that moment, I decided to completely change my life. I sat down and reflected on my situation, realising that trying to prove I was better, smarter, and richer than others was a pointless waste of time. If there is no joy or enjoyment in life, it is necessary to let go of things that do not support you and make changes.

I decided to leave my company, income, and security behind and went to America with a friend. I remember it clearly: on April 23, 2000 (Easter Sunday), we took off to establish a branch of the company in America. It took me about six months to recover from the symptoms of anxiety disorder and panic attacks. After that, I began to regain my energy and enthusiasm.

Through my work there, I met many interesting people. Soon, people started recommending that I visit a company dealing with the biofeedback device. It took three recommendations for me to realise that this was a place I had to visit. Three was a sign for me, so I went directly to see Chris Keser, the creator of the device.

At first, I was sceptical about the biofeedback device. Instead of introducing the device verbally, the creator of the biofeedback device connected me to it immediately. Then, like a clairvoyant, he started talking about my negative thought patterns. The information was very accurate, and my amazement at how the device worked sparked my interest in further exploring this type of therapy.

It turned out that the creator of the biofeedback device had practised homeopathy for over 30 years. At some point, he realised that the root causes of many chronic health problems were negative thought patterns, which homeopathy could not address.

Encouraged and supported by the creator of the biofeedback device, I bought my own device in 2003. With the purchase, I received a “Certified Biofeedback Technician” certificate, but it was just a piece of paper on the wall since I had no experience. I began to independently learn about the possibilities of the device, which were primarily related to negative thought patterns and emotions, guided by the device’s creator.

Over the course of a few years, Chris Keser shared with his experience and knowledge of how balancing stress indicators has yielded faster and more effective results for his clients.

The learning process was so fascinating that I lost track of time. I did therapy on myself and got to know myself. For about three to four months, I focused on finding and balancing my negative thought patterns and emotions. For example, I hadn’t been able to talk to my mother for nearly 20 years because every little thing made me irritable and angry. After doing biofeedback therapy on myself, I was able to have a normal phone conversation with my mother without feeling anger or irritation. We restored our relationship, and I was glad about it.

I started studying Quantum Biofeedback at the Canadian International Institute of Holistic Studies. In 2011, I received my diploma and was registered as a biofeedback therapist (qualification R.B.T. 9-1004) with The Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners.

During my studies, I gained a deeper understanding of quantum physics, biofeedback therapy, and device programs.

Through practical work, I continued to independently explore the capabilities of the device, specifically concentrating on negative thought forms and emotions that were not addressed in my college curriculum.

During the sessions, it became clear that in order to achieve the best results, it is important for me as a therapist to identify stress indicators that are individually important to the client from the device. This was a time-consuming process because each client’s stress indicators were unique. I had to test each stress indicator one by one, as the device does not provide them automatically.

The device’s creator supported me in this process. The goal was to quickly identify clients’ stress indicators and release them, providing effective results.

From 2003 to 2011, I conducted over 6,000 therapy sessions. This has grown into MER Biofeedback® therapy, for which I have registered a trademark.

After graduating from college, I worked at two holistic therapy centers in America. I specialized in areas such as anxiety and panic disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and mental exhaustion and burnout for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and top specialists.

In November 2011, I visited Estonia to see my relatives. During this trip, I decided to introduce biofeedback therapy at the Holistika Institute and offered some free sessions. After returning to America, I contacted the institute, and they expressed interest in having me come back to Estonia to provide biofeedback therapy sessions. Although I hesitated at first, I eventually decided to conduct therapy in Estonia once a quarter. Thanks to the Holistika Institute, I was able to bring biofeedback therapy to Estonia.

In 2018, I finally realised that my roots were in Estonia. I sold my home in America, left behind my home, husband, company, new car, and good income. I decided to dedicate myself to developing biofeedback therapy and helping people in Estonia.

Since 2003, I have been dedicated to practising MER Biofeedback® therapy.

I have conducted this therapy for over 17,000 clients. I have realised that understanding thought patterns and their associations comes only with practice. Now, I am ready to share my work experience and train new therapists at Lifekeskus ensuring that MER Biofeedback® therapy is accessible to everyone who desires it. In the future, Lifekeskus aims to expand its scope of activity and train therapists outside Estonia as well.

Ülle knows from her experiences that MER Biofeedback® therapy is an effective method for personal development and improved self-understanding. Undergoing therapy sessions helps us better understand and manage our emotions, build healthy relationships, and discover and realise our true potential.
